Lyophilised peptides are stable for long periods when kept cold, dry and dark. Once in solution, the clock speeds up considerably.

Temperature

Keep unopened lyophilised vials refrigerated at 2–8 °C for routine use, or frozen at −20 °C for long-term storage. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles; each one introduces aggregation and measurable loss of active content.

Light

UV exposure degrades aromatic residues. Amber storage or an opaque box solves this at effectively zero cost.

Records

Label every vial with the compound, concentration and reconstitution date, and keep the batch record with it.
